Privacy Policy

1. About this policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Shaley LLC ("we," "us," or "our") handles information in connection with the Freshet app ("App") available on iOS. By using Freshet, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information we collect

Freshet does not require an account and does not transmit personal data to any server. All data generated by your use of the App is stored locally on your device.

The following data is stored locally and never leaves your device:

• Your daily hydration goal and the inputs used to calculate it (weight, activity level, sleep schedule)
• Your drink log — beverages, amounts, and timestamps
• Custom beverages you have added
• App settings and notification preferences
• Hydration history

3. Information we do not collect

We do not collect:

• Your name, email address, or any contact information
• Location data
• Health or biometric data beyond what you manually enter
• Device identifiers or advertising IDs
• Usage analytics or behavioral data
• Crash reports or diagnostics (beyond what Apple may collect through iOS)

4. Health data

Freshet may optionally integrate with Apple Health to read and write water data, if you choose to enable these features. These are two independent settings, each off by default:

• Save drinks to Apple Health — when enabled, each drink you log in Freshet is recorded as a Water entry in Apple Health.
• Include water from other sources — when enabled, Freshet reads water entries from other apps and devices (such as Apple Watch) so today's total reflects all your hydration. Freshet filters out its own writes when reading, so nothing is double-counted.

Freshet only ever accesses the Water data type. It does not request, read, or write any other Apple Health data. Any data shared with Apple Health is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. You can disconnect Freshet from Apple Health at any time in your iPhone's Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → Freshet.

5. Third-party services

Freshet does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or data-sharing services. The App does not make network requests of any kind during normal use.

Freshet is distributed through Apple's App Store. Apple may collect certain information in connection with your download and use of the App, subject to Apple's own Privacy Policy.

6. Notifications

If you enable reminders, Freshet sends local notifications to your device. These are generated on-device and involve no data transmission. You can disable notifications at any time in Settings → Notifications → Freshet on your iPhone.

7. Data deletion

Because Freshet stores all data locally on your device, you can delete all of your data at any time by uninstalling the app. You may also reset your data within the app via Settings → About → Reset all data. Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data permanently. Note: if you have enabled Apple Health integration, water data Freshet wrote to Apple Health remains in Apple Health after uninstalling Freshet, and can be removed from within the iPhone's Health app.

8. Children's privacy

Freshet is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. If you have concerns, please contact us.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
